Tuesdays and Thursdays
9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Mother’s Day Out at Leander United Methodist Church is a place where children can learn and grow in a loving environment where God is at the center of everything we do. We pray together, grow together, and learn together.
We follow the Leander ISD calendar.

Music and Movement
Once a week we have music and movement time. We sing songs together and dance and move along with the songs. Not only do we have lots of fun with music, but we tune up our coordination and get exercise all at the same time!
Arts & Crafts
Hands on activity is always a great way to learn and to develop fine motor skills. Its also lots of fun! We are continually engaging in age appropriate crafts and often you can see our latest masterpieces on display on the bulletin boards in the hallways.
Chapel Time
Each Tuesday morning we head over to the sanctuary for chapel time where we sing songs about Jesus and hear exciting Bible stories. Pastor Tim’s stories are very engaging and often include fun props and special music which children of all ages find especially delightful.
Community Helper of the Month
Each month we learn all about a different civil servant and what their jobs are in the community. Often times, as when the helper of the month is the fireman or policeman, we will have a special visitor come talk to us in their uniform and show us what they do.
Field Trips and Special Days
At least once a month we have a field trip or a special theme day, such as a visit to the pumpkin patch, picnic in the park, tour of HEB, Pajama Day, Splash Day, or Rainbow Day.
Learning Time
Learning can be fun too and we make it a point to teach the children basic pre-k skills in fun and engaging ways using games, circle time, crafts and music. Each month we learn a new shape, color, math concept, letters, and Bible verse.
Lunch Time
We gather in the fellowship hall for lunch time each day. We always bless our food together before we dig in. Children bring their own lunches each day unless we have a special day during which lunch is provided.
