Sunday School Classes
Sunday School classes take place at 9:45 and 11:00 am on Sunday mornings. Classes are available for children, youth, and adults are all free of charge.
Children’s Sunday School
9:45 am
Children’s Sunday school classes are open to all children ages 6 months thru grade 5. Teachers are trained volunteers who love children, are committed to their spiritual nurture, and serve as companions on the faith journey.
EARLY CHRISTIAN AWARENESS (ECA)
Ages: Nursery (6-35months)
Teacher: Stephanie Lyles, Room 1
ECA teaches infants and toddlers an awareness of themselves, their importance as a child of God and a sense of relationship to other children and adults. The lessons emphasize God’s love and the beauty of creation, using songs, dolls, mirrors, and finger plays to stimulate all the senses.
HANDS-ON BIBLE
Ages: 3 thru Preschool
Teacher: Jennifer Brooks, Room 2
Children get to experience, see, touch, taste, and smell what they are learning about in an environment especially prepared for them to bridge ECA and Hands-On Bible. What they experience during activities will translate into what they know about the Bible and help open their minds and hearts to the most important person in their lives, Jesus.
THE WAY OF THE CHILD
Ages: Kindergarten thru 5th Grade
Teachers: Tim Behm & Renee Purvis, Room 3
This formational approach helps children develop an intimate, personal relationship with God. By practicing spiritual disciplines, relation to stories of Scripture, and connecting to their communities & the world, they gain new tools for wise decision making.
Youth Sunday School

Youth Sunday school is open to all youth 6th through 12th grade. Teachers are trained volunteers who love youth, are committed to their spiritual nurture, and serve as companions on the faith journey.

SEEKER'S CLASS (Senior’s Sunday School Class)
9:45 am
Teacher: David Deeds
The Seekers Class eagerly welcomes newcomers and visitors. David leads group discussion of a study series booklet printed by the United Methodist Church. The booklet lessons begin with scripture then a commentary that evokes conversation about the scripture. Booklets are readily available to use in the class setting. ** What Methodist Believe –mini-series starts March 7th.
ROCK HOUSE CLASS (All ages, 20’s-70’s)

The Rock House group formed in 2006 when several newcomers joined the church at the same time. They too welcome visitors. The class enjoys studying scripture but also topical studies.
FRESH JOURNEY CLASS (Ages: 40’s-50’s)

Lead Teacher: Kevin Murphy
Fresh Journeys welcomes visitors. This group enjoys studying a book that someone finds interesting such as Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People or a book related to a specific book of the Bible. Currently they are studying Home Tonight by Henri Nouwen.
FAITH FINDERS CLASS (Parents, ages 30’s-40’s)

Lead Teacher: Toni Fiero
Coffee and snacks are a big part of Faith Finders fellowship and they welcome visitors. Faith Finders enjoy studying topical issues from books with the leader guiding the discussion. Recent books they’ve studied are 90 Minute in Heaven and Same Kind of Difference as Me. They will soon begin a study of the book Experiencing Forgiveness by Charles Stanley.
