February 2009 Update
Transformation Team Meetings
2nd & 4th Sundays in January, February, & March
5:30pm
The transformation team meetings will be taking place every 2nd & 4th Sunday during the months of January, February, and March. Our plans are to prioritize the recommendations from Dr. Don Nations. The Ministry Performance Report which the congregation helped put together with survey comments resulted in a report which listed 5 areas of recommendations from Dr. Nations. Those 5 areas include:
1) The transformation process
2) Connecting with the community
3) Worship
4) Facilities
5) Supporting ministry
The transformation team is working to prioritize these recommendations, then present them to leadership council for approval, and finally hand them off to the appropriate group/committee who will implement new strategies. Some of these recommendations are long term and will take some more effort to execute than others.
Many thanks to our transformation team members for their generous gifts of time and energy to help transform Leander UMC to be all that God has called us to be!
