CHILDREN'S CHURCH

During the 11:00 worship service, children have the option of staying in worship or attending Children’s Church. Children who wish to attend Children’s Church will leave the sanctuary immediately following children’s time. We have busy folders and crayons under the front pew to occupy those who choose to stay in worship.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

through 5th grade takes place at 9:45 am.

ELEMENTARY:

Kindergarten through 5th grade

Our Sunday School curriculum is based on “Faithweaver Friends”. This curriculum seeks to weave faith and Jesus Christ into children’s lives. We begin at 9:45 am with the preschoolers in Room 8 and the elementary children in the fellowship hall for an opening celebration of music, skits, and puppet shows. The preschoolers participate in the opening and then return to their classroom to experience the story through play, songs, crafts, and snacks. Elementary children break up into age level groups. Elementary children experience discovery stations on rotating basis which reinforce and allow them to explore the Bible story for that day. This quarter our focus is on the early Old Testament stories of Creation through the Tower of Babel.

Registration Form

All children participating in any children's programs at LUMC must have a Registration Form on file. This includes Sunday school, children's church, BLAST, or any other special children's events. Registration forms are available at the church or you may download one here.

For children ages 3 years (potty trained) through 5th grade.

BLAST! Is a monthly children’s program where we have fun with music and praise, play games, hear stories and do crafts. BLAST! takes place on Saturdays once a month from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Leander United Methodist Church.
