10:00 am
Please join us on Sept, 5, 2010 as we officially celebrate our 150th anniversary of serving the community. Our sermon will be presented by Southwest Texas Conference Bishop, Jim Dorff. Pastors and parishioners, past and present, will be among the honored speakers and attendees. Some of our current members have been members of this church for over 7 decades. We have been here longer than Blue Bell ice cream, gas engines, and chili dogs. Please plan to join us after the service for a catered lunch served by our youth in period costumes.
Our church building started in the area of what is now Bagdad Cemetery, and rolled to its current location in 1901. That was during President’s Teddy Roosevelt’s first term in office. Teddy has been long gone but we are still here, and we intend to be right here 100 years from now, God willing. So come out and join us Sunday, September 5, at 10:00am for what promises to be a truly lasting memory.
